Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Existing biodegration and bioaccumulation studies show that the substance is readily biodegradable with a low potential to bioaccumulate.  Furthermore the environmental risk characterisation factors determined in the CSR for all uses, media and species are all below 0.1, with most signficantly below 0.01.  It is therefore proposed to waive long term sediment toxicity testing of the substance on the grounds that long term exposure to sediment is unlikely so testing for this endpoint is scientifically unnecessary.
