Short term tests are available for NX 8000J in fish, Daphnia and algae, showing a 96-h EC50 of >0.00056 mg/L, an 48-h EC50 of >0.00087 mg/L and an 72-h EC50 of >0.00076, respectively. As the water solubility is 0.00151 mg/l, the maximum nominal concentration employed in the studies was 0.0015 mg/L.

No long term data are available.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the long-term testing on fish study does not need to be conducted as the chemical safety assessment concludes that the substance is of no immediate concern to the environment. The substance is not acutely toxic up to the limit of solubility and is not bioaccumulative (experimentally derived BCF <500). The available data are adequate for classification and labeling purposes and PBT assessment, so no further testing is required.
