Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

- SCP liquor was regarded as readily biodegradable despite of slightly deviant results with the two test samples.
- Biodegradation 81% (28 d) (OECD 301 E and EU Method C.4-B)
- Biodegradation 68.1% (28 d) (OECD 301 E and EU Method C.4-B)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Two SCP liquor samples were tested for ready biodegradability (key studies). The other sample passed the ready biodegradability criterium (70%) clearly (81%, 28d) and the other sample slightly failed (68.1%, 28d), showing in any case obvious inherent biodegradability.

By overall estimation of the results it is still concluded that SCP liquor can be regarded as readily biodegradable.
