Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

median (particle size distribution): 6.05 µm (dispersion in a liquid, CIPAC method 187, Das, 2010)

Additional information

Summary of the data:

median (particle size distribution): 6.05 µm (dispersion in a liquid, CIPAC method 187, Das, 2010)

median (particle size distribution): 3 µm (dispersion in air, measured after grinding and sieving, ISO 13320-1:1999, Bailey, 2012)

Two studies are available for this endpoint. Both are considered to be relevant, reliable, adequate for risk assessment, and adequate for classification purposes. However, since it is highly probable that the sample preparation (i.e. grinding & sieving) has reduced the size of the particles to some extent in one study (i.e. Bailey, 2012), the other study (i.e. Das, 2010) is considered more relevant, reliable and adequate. The latter one is carried forward for risk assessment purposes.
