Although not fully assessed at this tonnage band, the class of substance is known to be poorly biodegradable. The potassium salt as supplied is water soluble with low Log Kow, but the acid form and other salts that may form in the environment have potential for accumulation
The substance is supplied for use as a fire retardant and as such is functionally stable and will functionally persist and absorb to organic matrices.
