Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Within RCC Study number 742397 (Jan. 2000) the melting point for the submission substance was determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD 102 and EU-method A.1 compliant with GLP. As a result of three test runs, the melting point must be above the thermal decomposition temperature within ambient air of ca. 350°C, above of which the submission sample lost mass and turned black, foamed and carbonized, without melting. Differential scanning calorimetry is one of the methods foreseen within OECD test guideline 103 (boiling point) for determination of the boiling point. As such, the boiling point was not experimentally accessible. Therefore, the (theoretical) boiling point was calculated using Meissner's method. Accordingly, an immesurably low vapour pressure was to be expected from these data for the submission substance. Therefore, based on the calculated theoretical boiling point of 656°C, vapour pressure was estimated as recommended within the Annex of OECD 104 / EU-method A.4 according to the the modified Watson correlation:

Vapour pressure (OECD 104 - estimated according to Modified Watson Correlation): 1.49E-19 Pa at 25°C
