Description of key information

Not highly flammable (EU-method A.10)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

The submission substance was evaluated with regard to flammability of solids according to EU-method A.10. Already in the preliminary test foreseen within the testing guideline the criterion for continuing the test was failed: velocity of flame propagation was 200 mm during 5 minutes and thus, the 4 minutes limit for potentially highly flammable compounds was surpassed.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the valid data from EU-method A.10, no classification requirements exist according to GHS criteria with regard to flammable solids. Further, also with regard to physical hazards

- pyrophoric solids and

- emission of flammable gases in contact with water

no classification requirements do exist (experience from handling and use).
