Additional information

Pseudomonas putida was the test organisms in a study by BASF AG in 1988. The test duration was 17 hours, the results were nominal and the concentration based on the test material. The basis for effect was growth inhibition and EC10, EC50 and EC90 were reported as 149.815 mg/L, 208 mg/L, and 390 mg/L, respectively.

Another study according toxicity to microorganisms was performed by Hockenbury and Grady in 1977. Nitrosomas sp. was investigated for inhibition of nitrification when exposed for a time duration of 2 hours to trimethylamine. An EC50 of about 590 mg/L is reported.
