Conclusion on classification / Environmental classification justification:

Acute ecotoxicity data are available on two trophic levels. Praseodymium trinitrate is toxic to aquatic invertebrates and very toxic to fish. Even if the study on fish was judged not reliable as performed in conditions minimizing the toxicity (i.e. precipitation cannot be ruled out as no analytical monitoring was performed), some adverse effects were observed giving a LC50 below 1 mg/L and cannot be ignored. On this basis and considering that praseodymium is not subjected to biodegradation due to its inorganic nature, it was decided to apply the following classification: Aquatic acute toxicity cat. 1 (H400) & Aquatic chronic toxicity cat. 1 (H410) under CLP, with acute and chronic M factors of 1
