Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2012-02-22 - 2012-02-24
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Key result
Remarks on result:
other: No exothermic reaction, and thus no self-ignition temperature of the test item, was observed over the temperature range tested.

At the end of the test, the cube was nearly full of darkened blocks; a part of the test item overflowed from the cube.

Conclusions:
Praseodymium trinitrate was determined not to be auto-flammable under the conditions of the test. No self-ignition temperature was observed up to 400°C (corrected value).

Description of key information

Praseodymium trinitrate was concluded not to be auto flammable under the conditions of the EC A.16 test performed under GLP conditions (Colombies, 2012).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
