The flame of a gas burner did ignite the test item pile. The test
item melted, burned with a blue flame, emitted sparks and turned into a
dark brown residue. After removal of the ignition source, the flame
extinguished after 1 second and no propagation of combustion was
The flammability of the solid substance was determined a GLP study
according to EC A.10 and UN Test N.1. In the preliminary screening test,
the substance did ignite but did not propagate combustion either
by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train
within the test period. The substance was determined to be not highly
flammable / not readily combustible.
