Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Qualifier:

Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EPA OPPTS 830.7860 (Water Solubility Generator Column Method)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
flask method

Details on results:
1.0 g of test item was added to 50 mL of Milli-Q-water. The content of test item is determined twice. No tendency to increasing values between the samples. Repeatability is below 15%. The results are therefore considered to be constant. However, almost all test item is found in solution and the aqueous solution is not considered saturated with test item.

2.0 g of test item is added to 50 mL of Milli-Q-water. The content of test item is determined twice and an average value of the test item content is calculated. No tendency to increasing values between the samples. Repeatability is below 15%. The results are therefore considered to be constant. Approximately 85% of the test item is found in solution. These results indicate an average water solubility of 27.85 g/L.

3.0 g of test item is added to 50 mL of Milli-Q-water. The content of test item is determined twice and an average value of the test item content is calculated. No tendency to increasing values between the samples. Repeatability is below 15%. The results are therefore considered to be constant. Approximately 70% of the test item added is found in solution. These results indicate an average water solubility of 33.41 g/L.

The experiments described above show a high water solubility of test item in the range 27-34 g/L.
Conclusions:
Interpretation of results: very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility at 20ºC: 27-34 g/l
Executive summary:

The water solubility test was done according to OECD Guideline 105 without GLP compliance. Experiments described above show a high water solubility of test item in the range 27-34 g/L.
