Additional information

The estimated (apparent) pKa values for the mono- and di- alkylated species of the diphenyl oxide mono- and di-sulfonate range from -0.91 to -0.24 at 25 °C and zero ionic strength. It can be assumed that the substance will occur in a fully ionized (dissociated) state at any pH which occurs physiologically or in the environment. Precise measurement of pKa is therefore not necessary.
