Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not relevant due to decomposition.
No significant volatilization anticipated at ambient temperature.

Additional information

An expert statement was provided, showing that vapour pressure cannot be measured nor estimated by calculation due to decomposition upon heating below the boiling point of the substance.

Volatilization of crystallisation water is anticipated to occur also under reduced pressure, therefore measurement would correspond to the partial pressure of water over the salt, and not to the substance itself.

As a solid at ambient temperature, no significant volatilization is anticipated for aluminium ammonium bis(sulfate).

Supporting litterature data for the similar individual salts aluminium sulfate and ammonium sulfate support the evidence of very low vapour pressure and decomposition.
