Clinical effects of workers exposed to isocyanates:

Asthma bronchial asthma 62%, no obstructive bronchitis 17%, rhinitis 17%, chronic obstructive bronchitis 11%, conjunctivitis 11%, urticaria/erythema 3%, eczema 2%, fever 2%, exogeneous allergic alveolitis 2%

The main hazardous effects are obstuctive airway diseases.

Executive summary:

In this review clinical findings after exposure to isocyanates were were described. In workers exposed to isocyanates the following diagnosis were made:

Asthma bronchial asthma 62%, no obstructive bronchitis 17%, rhinitis 17%, chronic obstructive bronchitis 11%, conjunctivitis 11%, urticaria/erythema 3%, eczema 2%, fever 2%, exogeneous allergic alveolitis 2%
