Description of key information

water solubility of the test item in water (flask method):
39.23 ± 0.99 mg/L at 20 ± 0,5 °C = 3.923 ± 0.099 * 10-5 kg/L (SI units) (mean value ± standard deviation of eight measurements)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
39 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

In a preliminary study, the solubility of the test item in water could be estimated as Iying between 10 and 100 mg/L. In the main study, approx. 300 mg/L of the test item were weighed into each of six individual vessels, water (21°C warm) was added, and the vessels were shaken at 20 ± 0.5 °c. On the days 1, 2, and 3, vessel 1 was taken fram the shaking apparatus and stored at 20 ± 0.1 °c for equilibration. Sampies were taken, filtrated and analysed using HPLC as shaking of the test vessels was continued. No differences above 15% in the concentration of the solution could be determined between the sampling dates 1, 2, and 3, supporting the hypothesis, that the maximum concentration of the test item had been reached. Therefore, on day 3, vessels 2 - 5 were sampled and analysed in the same fashion. At the plateau, the concentration of the test item in water had reached 39.23 ± 0.99 mg/L at 20 ± 0,5 oe = 3.923 ± 0.099 * 10-5 kg/L (SI units) (mean value ± standard deviation of eight measurements)
