Additional information

Based on the analogue substance Octadecanamide, N-octadecyl- (CAS 13276-08-9), ready biodegradation of (Z)-N-Octadecyldocos-13-enamide (CAS No. 10094-45-8) is not expected. This behaviour is supported by two simulation tests performed in water/sediment and in soils. In sediment half-life of 6630 days has been derived, and in soils no significant degradation has been observed. Thus, the substance is considered to be persistent in the environment.
