Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

In a static acute toxicity fish with bluegill fish (Lepomis macrochirus) according to OECD TG 203 the 96-hour LC50 of the test item was determined to be 9.3 µg a.i./L (mean measured).

Long-term toxicity to fish

In a study according to EPA-FIFRA Guideline 72-4 with rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) the 91-day NOEC (based on length and weight) for the test item was determined to be 3.8 µg a.s./L (mean measured).

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In a semi-static test according to OECD TG 202 with Daphnia magna the 48-hour EC50 of the test item was determined to be 1.06 µg/L (geom. mean measured).

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In a chronic flow-through test according to FIFRA; SLS protocol # 091087/DM-LC.FIF with Daphnia magna the lowest NOEC of the test item was determined as 0.12 µg a.i./L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

In a study according to OECD TG 201 the EC50 (growth rate, corrected to 100% purity) of the test item was calculated as > 9.2 mg a.i./L. The 72-hour NOEC (growth rate) of the test item is considered to be 1.0 mg a.i./L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

In a study saccording to OECD TG 209 the 3-hour EC50 of the test item was determined as 2030 mg/L, indicating no toxicity of fenamiphos to activated sludge.
