Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
comparable to guideline study
Justification for type of information:
Performed by manufacturer using calibrated equipment
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
Type of method:
oscillating densitimeter
Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 0.83 g/cm³
Temp.:
16 °C

Using calculations fromt eh equipment, the specific gravity at 16°C of Reaction Products of C11-14 Tert-Alkylamine and Formaldehyde substance was 0.82879 and the density was 0.82790g/cm3.

Conclusions:
Although the equipment is calibrated and run at 16 C, it is considered appropriate to estimate that at 20 C th density will not be much different
A figure of 0.83 is used for the CSR
