Description of key information

The EC50 value of the test item was determined to be > 100 mg/L after 48 hours. The test item is considered to be not toxic to the aquatic system as no aquatic toxicity was observed at 100 mg/L within range of water solubility.

Additional information

Acute toxicity of the test item was investigated in a static test using Daphnia magna as model system (EEC/92/69, C.2, OECD Guideline 202, EPA OPPTS 850.1010). The test item was soluble in water. No toxicity was observed for 100 mg/L nominal concentration after exposure of 48 hours. The EC50 was estimated to be > 100 mg/L. All validity criteria were fulfilled. The test item is considered to be not toxic to aquatic invertebrates.

Based on this result and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EC) No 2017/776, the test substance is not considered as acutely harmful to aquatic organisms.
