Additional information

The acute aquatic toxicity of the test item was investigated for Daphnia (BASF SE, 99/0209/50/1, 1999). No signs of toxicity were observed. The test item is considered to be not acute toxic for the aquatic system.

The Short- term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates of the test substance was investigated in a static test using Daphnia magna as model organism (EEC/92/69, C.2, OECD Guideline 202, EPA OPPTS 850.1010). The test substance was soluble in water. No toxicity was observed for a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L after an exposure period of 48 hours. The EC50 was estimated to be > 100 mg/L. All validity criteria were fulfilled. The test item is considered to be not toxic to aquatic invertebrates.

Conclusion on classification

The available experimental data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes. Based on available data and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the tenth time in Regulation (EC) No 2017/776, the test substance is not considered to be acutely harmful to aquatic organisms.
