Additional information

As calculated using SRC PCKOCWIN v1.66, the Koc of isooctene is 425 (log Koc = 2.63) [BASF AG, 2008].

The test substance may exist as a mixture of isomer structures. This includes only chain isomerism of a hydrocarbon, what means that no functional groups are involved. In such a case similar properties of the isomers can be expected.

Epiwin calculations were made with three exemplary isomers [CC(C)C=CCCC, CC(C)=CCCCC and C=CCCCC(C)C]. The results for the KOC was equal for the three isomers.
