Description of key information

Regarding the 1-octanole/water partition coefficient, accumulation of isooctene in organisms is possible.

Additional information

The test substance may exist as a mixture of isomer structures. This includes only chain isomerism of a hydrocarbon, what means that no functional groups are involved. In such a case similar properties of the isomers can be expected.

Epiwin calculations were made with three exemplary isomers [CC(C)C=CCCC, CC(C)=CCCCC and C=CCCCC(C)C]. The results for the log Pow ranged between 3.9 and 4.1.
