Additional information

DPGEE showed no evidence of mutagenic activity in three well-conducted guideline studies to GLP (Ames study, chromosome abberation study and a mammalian cell gene mutation study.

Short description of key information:
Three Guideline in vitro mutagenicity tests (Ames, chromosome abberation and Thymidine kinase heterozygous locus fluctuation assay in L5178( (mouse lymphoma cells)) gave no indication of mutagenic activity.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Three well-conducted guideline studies to GLP did not identify any reasons to be so concerned as to describe DPMEE as potentially mutagenic to man, therefore classification as mutagenic is not appropriate based on the information available.
