Specific details on test material used for the study:
The batch of Disperse Brown 27 (4852-1501) tested was a brown powder with a purity of 99.7 %
Key result
Water solubility:
ca. 0.007 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
51.5 mg/L
Incubation duration:
ca. 16 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 6.7
Details on results:
In the preliminary test the content of test item dissolved in the water sample was < 10-2 mg/L.

The coefficient of variation (CV) (n = 10) was ≤ 30% at both flow rates. It demonstrated that the system was equilibrated at all flow rates.
The turbidity of the test item column eluates was 0.5 and 0.8 NTU for the 24 and 12 mL/h flows, respectively. By visual inspection, no test item and/or undissolved particles were observed in the eluates (clear water solution).
A small response at the retention time of the test item was detected in the samples from the blank column. This was most likely due to carry over since a similar response was observed in the analytical blank.

Preliminary testing found to be <10-2 g/L, therefore column elution method was chosen for main study.

Water solubility of test item at 20°C was 0.00741 mg/L, test item almost insoluble in water.

pH of the aqeuous samples was 6.7

Conclusions:
Preliminary testing found to be <10-2 g/L, therefore column elution method was chosen for main study.
Water solubility of test item at 20°C was 0.00741 mg/L, test item almost insoluble in water.
pH of the aqeuous samples was 6.7
