The acute toxicity to
invertebrates of Solvent Violet 59 was determined according to the EU
method C.2 "Acute Toxicity for Daphnia" (1992). Daphnia magna was
exposed to the test solution of one nominal concentration of Solvent
Violet 59 (10000 mg/L) and blank control solution for a period of 48
hours under static conditions. No toxic effect and abnormal behavior
were observed. This toxicity
study is classified acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirement
for the acute daphnia.
After 48 hours of exposure no effects against daphnia were observed up to a nominal concentration of 10.000 mg/L.
