Description of key information

Acute toxicity to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
1 mg/L

Additional information

An acute toxicity limit test was performed for the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) . The fish were exposed to 1.0 mg/L of Fyrolflex BDP (highest possible concentration due to limited water solubility) for 96 hours. There were no deaths or sublethal effects during the exposure. Therefore, the 96 hour LC50 of Fyrolflex BDP for the freshwater fish rainbow trout was > 1.0 mg/L (based on both nominal and measured concentration). Correspondingly, the No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) was greater than or equal to 1.0 mg/l.
