Phosphinic acid forms colorless deliquescent crystals and is manufactured and commercially available as aqueous solutions at different grades. For REACH compliance, both solid and liquid forms have been tested according to the endpoint. Additional information on decomposition to phosphine which is spontaneously flammable is provided for safe use.
