Description of key information

No experimental data is available regarding the solubility of the substance but according to experience in handling monochloramine solutions and available published data, the substance is considered as miscible to soluble in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
10 g/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The substance is known to be in gaseous form at pure state but monochloramine is always generated in aqueous solution in order to obtain a stable substance. Monochloramine is generally produced at a maximum concentration of 10 g/L in water because of technical considerations. Nevertheless, according to our knowledge the substance can be synthesized at higher concentration (up to 30 g/L) with no risks. No experimental data is available regarding the solubility of the substance but considering handling experience and data available, the substance is considered as miscible to soluble in water.
