No signs of hydrolysis were observed in a test according to OECD 111 at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 after five days at 50 °C. Therefore, Acetoguanamine can be considered as hydrolytically stable at these pH values.

Acetoguanamine is not readily biodegradable in a test according to OECD 301E because no biodegradability (no DOC removal in 48 days) was found.

Because of the low log octanol-water partition coefficient of -0.88 and its high water solubility Acetoguanamine will not adsorb to soil and sediment. Therefore no further testing of sediment or soil simulation testing was proposed. Furthermore the direct or indirect exposure of soil or sediment with Acetoguanamine is unlikely. Although even in the event of direct release of Acetoguanamine to aqueous system Acetoguanamine will stay in the aqueous phase.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation in aquatic species does not need to be conducted as the substance Acetoguanamine has a low potential for bioaccumulation (the substance has a log octanol-water partition coefficient less than 3).

Because of the same reason the adsorption/desorption screening test for Acetoguanamine does not have to be conducted.
