Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The density value at 20°C was calculated according to the formula:

Density (g/mL) = 0.9982 x S x (W6 - W5) / (W4 - W3) - (W7 - W6)

The specific gravity of the test item at 20°C is determined by the ratio between the mass of a volume of the substance and the mass of the same volume of water: it was obtained according to the formula:

Specific Gravity = density (g/mL) / 0.9982 (g/mL)

Since the density of distilled water at 4°C is 1.0000 g/mL, the relative density, (D20 4) defined as the ratio between the mass of a volume of the substance at 20°C and the mass of the same volume of water at 4°C, is the dimensionless numeric value of the density.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
From the experimental data obtained according to the guideline A.3 in Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 part A, CIPAC method MT 3.2 and OECD Test No 109, it can be concluded that the density of the Soybean (Glycine max) dry purified extract sample is 1.3254 g/mL at 20°C; the specific gravity is 1.3278 at 20°C, and the relative density (D20 4) is 1.3254.
