Test material

Constituent 1
Chemical structure
Reference substance name:
(1E,5E,9Z)-cyclododeca-1,5,9-triene
EC Number:
211-893-3
EC Name:
(1E,5E,9Z)-cyclododeca-1,5,9-triene
Cas Number:
706-31-0
Molecular formula:
C12H18
IUPAC Name:
cyclododeca-1,5,9-triene
Details on test material:
cis,trans,trans-1,5,9-Cyclododecatriene of Hüls AG, purity >= 98 %
The product was later marketed as 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene without change in identity. Therefore the test substance of this study is identical with the substance defined insection 1.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The vapor pressure of cis,trans,trans-1,5,9-cyclododecatriene was measured at temperatures between 104 and 237.5 °C leading to a regular vapor pressure curve. A value of 0.1222 hPa at 20 °C was obtained by least squares-fit of a Clausius Clapeyron curve and extrapolation.
Executive summary:

The vapor pressure of cis,trans,trans-1,5,9-cyclododecatriene was measured at temperatures between 104 and 237.5 °C leading to a regular vapor pressure curve. Experimental details have not been reported. A value of 0.1222 hPa at 20 °C was obtained by least squares-fit of a Clausius Clapeyron curve and extrapolation.
