Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The biodegradation of the substance was assessed using an activated sludge for 28 days according to the DOC Die-away, OECD Guideline 301 A and EU Method C.4 -A. A nominal concentration of 40 mg/l DOC of the substance was tested while a reference compound run in parallel to check the activity of inocolum. Abiotic, adsorption and toxicity control were also evaluated. Degradation was followed over 28 days, but ended on the 19th day as the substance was completely mineralised, by determining the removal of DOC as the difference between total carbon (TC) and inorganic carbon (IC). The degree of biodegradation was calculated by expressing the concentration of DOC removed (corrected for that in the blank inoculum control) as a percentage of the concentration initially present.

Ready biodegradation (test substance, 40 mg/l) = 100.3 % and ready biodegradation (reference substance, 40 mg/l) = 100.2 %, after 19 days.

The substance is readily biodegradable.
