Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering measures
- Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation to minimize exposure to vapors.

Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection :
- In case of dusts/vapours/aerosols being formed or if the limit values like TLV are exceeded:
Wear a respirator conforming to EN 140 with Type A filter or better.

Hand protection :
- Glove material butyl rubber; material thickness 0.5 mm; break through time ≥ 480 min.
The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the European norm standard EN 374.
Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there is any indication of degradation or chemical
breakthrough

Eye protection :
- Eye protection such as chemical splash goggles and/or face shield must be worn when possibility exists
for eye contact due to splashing or spraying liquid, airborne particles, or vapor.
The selected goggles or glasses must satisfy the European norm standard EN 166.
- The equipment must be cleaned thoroughly after each use.

Skin and body protection :
- When skin contact is possible, protective clothing including gloves, apron, sleeves, boots, head and face
protection should be worn.
- The selected protective clothing has to satisfy the standard EN 13034, which describes clothing offering
limited 8 hour protection against splashes.
- Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the
work place.
- Use PPE that is chemical resistant to the product and prevents skin contact.

Hygiene measures :
- Selection of appropriate personal protective equipment should be based on an evaluation of the
performance characteristics of the protective equipment relative to the task(s) to be performed,
conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and/or potential hazards that may be encountered
during use.
- Consult the appropriate European norm (EN) standard before deciding on the type of personal protective
equipment that is appropriate for a particular set of circumstances.
- Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any
potential exposure.
- Use good personal hygiene practices.
- Wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities.
- Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability :
- Substance is stable and unreactive under conditions of normal use.

Conditions to avoid :
- Prolonged or excessive heat and/or exposure to air may cause non-hazardous
decomposition and/or oxidation of the substance. Display as: Remarks
- Heat, sparks, open flame, other ignition sources, severe oxidizing conditions, elevated temperatures
should be avoided.

Materials to avoid :
