Terpenes and terpenoids, turpentine oil, alpha-pinene fraction oligomers is not PBT as it does not exceed the screening criteria for toxicity. However, as this substance is not readily biodegradable and may have a log Kow >4.5, terpenes and terpenoids, turpentine oil, alpha-pinene fraction oligomers may be persistent and bioaccumulative based on the screening criteria. There is no data currently available to compare against the definitive criteria for persistence and bioaccumulation. Therefore terpenes and terpenoids, turpentine oil, alpha-pinene fraction oligomers is not considered to be PBT, but further information would be required to reach definitive conclusions regarding the vP and vB criteria.
