Additional information

The 48–hr acute toxicity of Diisopropylbenzolhydroperoxid to Daphnia magna Straus was studied under static conditions according to OECD 202 guideline and GLP requirements (Scholz, 1992). Daphnids were exposed to an aqueous preparation with initial nominal concentrations of 4.1, 5.7, 8.2, 11.4, 16.3, 22.9,32.7, 45.8 mg/L, a negative control and a positive control (Potassium dichromate with nominal concentrations of 0.9 and 1.9 mg/L). As a very low soluble solution, 1g/l of the solution was added to freshwater and mixed for 18h. Afterwards the solution was filtered and the carbon content was measured. This solution was used as stock solution. Immobilisation was observed daily.  The 48h-EC50was found to be 8.2 mg/L while the 48h-NOEC was found to be 5.7 mg/L.
