Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable (MITI test)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

TBBPA was not readily biodegradable under a MITI ready biodegradation test. The test was conducted with a high test concentration (100 mg/L) in the presence of low biomass (30 mg/L) for a 14 day duration (Chemicals Inspection & Testing Institute, Japan, 1992).
