Methyl cinnamate was investigated in a modified OECD screening test and showed to be readily biodegradable.

The biodegradation of the test item was investigated in a modified OECD screening test and fully biodegraded (100%) within 7 day. Therefore, the substance is considered readily biodegradable.
The reference substance achieved 100% degradation within 28 days in a parallel experiment.
