Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A read-across document was prepared to justify the estimation of the aquatic toxicity partly based on data for the analogue substance PDTN.

For PDTN, acute ecotoxicity tests are available for fish, daphnia, algae and micro-organisms. The EC50 or LC50 in these studies was observed to be > 100 mg/L. Also for EDTN, an acute toxicity test for fish is available, showing a 96h LC50 > 138 mg/L. Based on the similar results in the fish toxicity study of > 100 mg/L, a read across of the PDTN ecotoxicity data for Daphnia, algae and micro-organisms to EDTN is considered justified. Therefore, the ecotoxicity of EDTN for aquatic invertebrates, algae and micro-organisms is expected to be > 100 mg/l.
