Description of key information

A study (Tobor-Kaplon, 2013) was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test item to fish under static conditions. Considering the low water solubility of the test substance, a Water Accommodated Fraction procedure was used. For fish the acute toxicity are expressed in terms of lethal loadings (LL50). A 96-h LL50 value of 10 mg/L have been determined for the effects of the test substance on mortality of Carp (Cyprinus carpio). Analysis of the test preparations at 0 hours showed measured concentrations to be below 1.97 mg/L. However, this should be regarded as an indicative value. Given that the toxicity cannot be attributed to a single component or a mixture of components but to the test item as a whole the results were based on nominal loading rates only.
