The substance is an UVCB. Most bioaccumulation tests are difficult to apply to UVCB substances and standard tests for this endpoint are intended for single substances rather than complex substances such as the substance to be registered. Estimates of the Kow values for the individual components may be used to assess the bioaccumulation potential of the substance. Measured log Kow values are available for the substance indicating that the majority of the constituents have log Kow values > 6.5. To get a hint of the bioaccumulation potential, the bioconcentration factor BCF of Fatty acids, tall-oil, reaction products with formaldehyde and Z)-N-9-octadecenyl-1,3-propanediamine (CAS# 68911-83-1) was calculated using EPIWIN v4.10, BCFBAF v3.01. The calculation yielded BCF values of 6.17 L/kg wet-wt (based on an estimated log Kow of 13.8) and 381 L/kg wet-wt (based on a measured log Kow of 6.5) respectively. These results indicate a low bioaccumulation potential.
