Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Classification related key information

- Biodegradation: not readily biodegradable: 8.0 % biodegradation after 28 days (OECD 301 D)

- Partition coefficient: log Pow < 1.0 (OECD 117)

Aquatic acute toxicity

- Aquatic invertebrates: EC50 (48 h) = 18.1 mg/L (nominal, Daphnia magna, OECD 202)

- Algae: ErC50 (72 h) = 15.55 mg/L (nominal, Raphidocelis subcapitata, OECD 201)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

- Algae: ErC10 (72 h) = 6.75 mg/L (nominal, Raphidocelis subcapitata, OECD 201)

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be readily biodegradable under the test conditions. The most sensitive test for the aquatic compartment was the toxicity test to algae (Raphidocelis subcapitata). The test revealed a 72-hour ErC10 and ErC50 (growth rate) of 6.75 mg/L and 15.55 mg/L, respectively. The log Pow was determined to be < 1. Based on these results, the substance is not classified for aquatic short-term (acute) toxicity, but for aquatic long-term (chronic) toxicity Category 3 (H412) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the seventeenth time in Regulation (EU) 2021/849.
