For the determination of the initial temperature of flash point measurement a screen test was performed with the test item. The sample was heated from 25 °C using 5.5 °C/min heating rate. Based on this preliminary test the flash point of  the test item was determined to be: 142.3 °C.


In the course of the study three subsequent tests with the test item were carried out. The measured flash points of  the test item were: 142.3 °C, 142.3 and 141.3 °C, resulting in a mean value: 142 °C at 101.3 kPa.


The repeatability criterion was met because the maximum difference between replicate determinations was not more than 2 °C.
