Effects on fertility

Description of key information

The NOAEL for maternal toxicity was considered to be 120 mg/kg bw/day for a similar multi-constituent substance. In combination with severe maternal toxicity observed at 450 mg/kg bw/d an increase in pup loss at birth and a decreased litter weight was noted in the high dose group. These developmental effects are considered to be caused by the maternal toxicity at 450 mg/kg bw/d. The developmental NOAEL is set at 120 mg/kg bw/day (OECD 422).

Effects on developmental toxicity

Description of key information

Effects reported were attributed to maternal toxicity.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Critical effects were not observed in an OECD 422 study via the oral route and classification for reproductive or developmental toxicity is not required under the terms of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
