Results and discussion

Toxicokinetic / pharmacokinetic studies

Details on excretion:
After oral administration of 14C-2-chloro-6-(trichloromethyl)pyridine to one female dog, at least 80% of the radioactivity was excreted via the urine as N-(6-chloropicolinoyl)glycine. No half-life time was given. After feeding 2-chloro-6-(trichloromethyl)pyridine spiked with 14C-2-chloro-6-(trichloromethyl)pyridine at 100 mg/kg diet for a number of days to rats, mainly 6-chloropicolinic acid and to a lesser extent N-(6-chloropicolinoyl)glycine were excreted.
