Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Phototransformation in air is not relevant due to low vapour pressure (0.02 Pa).

Experimental results on phototransformation of isobutyl laurate (CAS 37811-72-6)are not available. Calculated values using AOPWIN v1.92 indicate that the substance will be rapidly photodegraded by reaction with hydroxyl radicals (Birkhofer, 2015). The estimated half-life for the substance is 21.96 hours. However, due to the low vapour pressure (0.02 Pa at 20 °C, SPARC v 4.6 calculation) the substance is not expected to be present in the atmosphere.
