The substance hydrolyses rapidly and therefore has a low potential for bioaccumulation. The end product of hydrolysis at low concentrations is methylsilanetriol. This species has a low log KOW(-2.4). Therefore, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation in aquatic species study (required in Section 9.3.2) does not need to be conducted. At higher concentrations, polymeric species are may form and these have low potential for bioaccumulation.
