Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Testing for long-term toxicity to fish is not considered necessary because:

-The substance hydrolyses rapidly in water.

-The available toxicity studies in algae and daphnia demonstrate that the hydrolysis products are not toxic to aquatic organisms at the limit concentrations suitable for these tests.

-In addition, the substance is only used in industrial settings in closed systems under controlled conditions and emissions to surface waters are unlikely.
