Conclusions:
The acute oral median lethal dose (LD50) of 4,4'-dinitrostilbene-2,2'-disulphonic acid in Rodent guinea pig on the basis of mortality effect was found to be 71000 mg/kg of body weight. This value indicates that 4,4'-dinitrostilbene-2,2'-disulphonic acid does not exhibits acute toxicity by the oral route.
