Description of key information

The surface tension is 71.97 mN/m at 20°C and a concentration of 11.9 mg/L. The substance is therefore considered to be not surface active.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
71.97
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
11.9

Additional information

In a GLP compliant study, performed according to EC method A.5 and OECD guideline 115, the surface tension of the test substance was determined using the plate method (Henke 2011e). The surface tension of the test substance at 20°C in water at a concentration of 11.9 mg/L was determined to be 71.9 mN/m and therefore based on the guideline, it was concluded that the test substance is not surface active.
